Title: Post FSR Sinus Infection
Post by: dgooch on July 27, 2005, 05:31:46 pm
I'm 2 1/2 years post FSR with Dr. Andrews at Thomas Jefferson.  I've developed a sinus infection that just doesn't want to go away.  My 2 yr MRI showed no growth (or shrinkage), but the Dr. said the cells were dead and it should start shrinking.  I don't want to panic and hope the sinus infection is just that, a routine infection.  I've had no other AN symptoms since FSR.

Has anyone else experienced problems with sinus infections this far after treatment?

Hi dgooch!
I read your concern but the infection seems to me would most likely be unrelated to FSR.
Did you see the MRI films also? Should be a central necrosis ( darkening of dead cells ) if indeed they are dead.
  I wouldn't panic!
Take care. I hope you're receiving Tx for that sinus infection and feel better soon.
