AN Journal Pages
« on: March 30, 2009, 09:11:28 am »
I hope no authors of the journal object.  If so, let me know and I will remove those pages.  The first page has the date cut off, but I'm afraid that's how it is on my copy, sorry.  I believe it says 07/2008.

-1.3 X 0.8 cm AN in the right cerebellopontine angle extending into the internal auditory canal.
-Retrosigmoid Surgery with Dr. Bartels and Dr. Danner at Tampa General 3/5/2009.
-Had to cut hearing nerve to get "sticky" tumor, so SSD right side.

Ernie -

great idea to post these pages.  As one who never got the chance to have the magic scarf - it wasn't invented yet when I had my surgery - I'm finding it very interesting to read.

Thanks,

Jan

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

These are great! I'll have to look at the pages more later - can't tell who some of the people are (like who's the casual leopard, pirate and formal leopard guy!!?) That's funny!
Like Jan, I didn't get the scarf either (sniff, sniff!)
That's ok. This is a great idea!

I think that's Ken - the first male to wear the infamous leopard scarf.  I think he should get a special prize just for that  ;)

Ernie,

thank you!  Many of us don't get the magic scarf so this is a terrific way to truly feel what those lucky ones experience. Thanks for sharing this! :)

Thank you, Ernie. At last I get to see the journal for the fabled magic scarf. It is having an interesting life!

Someone should let Debbi know about this, she will be tickled.

Ernie,

That is great!  Thanks for sharing the journal and the traveling magic scarf with those of us who "went before"!

That scarf has visited more cities than I have, I think!  Maybe I should hand deliver it from now on.  Phyl can loan me her jet.   :D

Since I was one of the first few folks who got the scarf and journal I always wondered where it went and what the other journal entries said.
Oh - and funny enough, IAMSUE (the 3rd postie right before me in the journal) -- I heard from her the other day. She added me as a friend on Facebook!

And the Casual, Pirate and Formal Leopard....OMG, I about fell off my chair laughing!

Wow - this is great!  I love seeing where the AN scarf has been.  It started its journey at NYU nearly a year ago - hard to believe.  Really love reading all the notes in the journal.  Here is my picture from the hospital - with the Scarf AND my lucky black cat complete with brain bonnet!

Oh, sure, in New York, they would provide make-up services.  Or are you just that gorgeous?
Please don't expect me to look that good.  Note to self:  Be sure to reduce image size before posting.
