Looking for advice.

sgriggs3:
Hello everyone,

First let me to start by saying I have not been diagnosed with AN, but have many symptoms that concern me.  To start,  I'm a 27 year old male that developed Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss 2 years ago out of no where.  I was sitting at my desk at work when suddenly I got dizzy, lightheaded, and felt like I was going to pass out.  A few minutes later when I caught my bearings, I had difficulty hearing out of my right ear and experienced tinnitus.  I followed protocol and met with the ENT specialist immediately who gave me steroids and sent me for an MRI with contrast.  The MRI was negative.  My hearing loss remains as does the tinnitus, but I have gotten used to it and it no longer impacts my life.  However, I'm starting to worry there could be something like an AN that was not picked up during the MRI.  I admit, I suffer from anxiety and can be kind of hypochondriac, but I feel like the Dr.'s were quick to dismiss this as they never found a cause.  I also experience pulsatile tinnitus at times when working out and getting my heart rate up.  This only last for a few seconds until my heart rate returns to normal.  I also suffer from aura migraines which I've had for years.  Usually get 1 or 2 a month.  I'm not looking for anyone on here to diagnose me, as a I know they can't, I'm just wondering if I should see a specialist again or if I'm letting my anxiety get the best of me.  I appreciate any insight!

Have a different doctor look at your MRI. I think from when I had my seizure back in 2012 that it might have been on there, but the doctor at the ER didn't pick it up. Again tinnitus can also be associated with herpes simplex virus, but the other symptoms sound more like in line with AN. Just get it over with ASAP. I'm 29 so roughly your age or a little younger is when I had similar symptoms.
