Improvements of Masseter-facial nerve graft?
« on: September 27, 2015, 02:30:05 pm »
Hello everyone,

I have done the masseter-facial nerve graft 6 months ago and yes, i can now do a closed mouth mona lisa smile, but it didnt help improve my facial tone nor eye closure so my ophtalmologist suggested i do a permanent tarsorraphy and said that he could at least do a face lift after time to help with facial symmetry. Has anyone done the 5-7 transfer and has good symmetry at rest and eye closure?

Stephanie,
Did you have the 12/7 ,,hypoglossal/facial nerve graft or something else? Your signature says that but you mention a " 5/7" which I have not read about.

Just wondering,,

I had a sureal cross facial nerve graft immediately after my AN surgery. This help my symmetry. I also had thr 5-7 so I can smile by clinching my jaw.
