Which side are you placed on for surgery

Hello,
Could anyone help me with a query please. I had an 11 hour surgery in 2009 to debulk my AN. My AN was on my right side, so I assume I was placed on my left side for the surgery. However, ever since my surgery I have had intermittent pain on my right side. So I'm starting to wonder if I was placed on my right. I'm wondering if the pain is nerve damage from being on my side for 11 hours.
So I'm just hoping someone knows which side your placed on, or if anyone has had similar pain.

According to the following article, the patient lies on his/her back on the operating table.

You can probably confirm your position by getting a copy of your operation reports. Everybody involved would have written a separate report and somebody is bound to mention your position on the table.

There might even have been a video tape.

Jack is correct. You’re on your back and only your head is turned (secured / made immobile) to allow access to effected area.

Left-Translab July '09. Cyberknife Jan 2010. In Apr 2017, four more tumors found; three in the brain and one, 7cm long, on my spinal cord; it was surgically removed. It was cancerous, and so are the others. I've been receiving Chemo since June '18, and I'm still in treatment.
