Statement about the Center
The Mayo Clinic is a multi-specialty institution with extensive experience
counseling and treating patients with acoustic neuromas. Patients are initially
evaluated by members of the departments of Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology, with
access to Radiation Oncology, Audiology, Physical Therapy, Genetics and Ophthalmology.
We evaluate more than 125 new patients a year with acoustic neuromas. We have an experienced
microsurgical team and were one of the first institutions in the United States to install a Gamma Knife.
