Statement about the Center
The University of Florida offers comprehensive acoustic neuroma treatment. Each year we provide surgical or non-invasive radiosurgical treatment for over 100 new patients. Dr. Stephen Lewis, an expert in skull base surgery and Dr. Patrick Antonelli, chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and specialty trained in neuro-otology, provide a team approach to all surgeries. Dr. William Friedman, Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery, supervises the radiosurgical team which provides an alternative to surgery for smaller tumors.
