Statement about the Center

At the Comprehensive Skull Base Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, we utilize a multidisciplinary team consisting of neurosurgeons, neurotologists and radiation oncologists to treat patients diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma. New patients meet with at least two of our physicians to discuss all treatment options with an emphasis on patient participation. We offer all three microsurgical approaches (translabyrinthine, middle fossa and retrosigmoid), radiosurgery (Gamma Knife, CyberKnife), and serial observation. Our goal is effective treatment of the acoustic neuroma while preserving function and quality of life.
