University Hospitals Case Medical Center’s Skull Base Surgery Program offers unparalleled care of a variety of disorders, including acoustic neuromas, by combining the experience, expertise, technical abilities and resources of recognized authorities in a variety of fields in devising personalized treatment plans focused on enhancing the patient’s quality of life. A unique partnership created by University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University’s departments of Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery, the program’s faculty includes specialists and subspecialists in neurosurgery, neurology, oncology, otolaryngology, endocrinology, genetics, radiology, ophthalmology and radiation therapy, among other supporting services.  The skull base surgery team meets regularly to review new cases and determine the appropriate course of treatment for every patient. Patients with cancer involving the skull base region benefit from being evaluated and treated by members of the University Hospitals Neurological Institute, University Hospitals ENT Institute and University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center.
